Generally
The huge Beer Pong hype is slowly but surely making its way to Germany. While the action-packed game has long since achieved cult status in the US, it only gained popularity here relatively recently. The US has already declared Beer Pong a competitive sport, while in Europe it is still largely known as a drinking game for shared apartment parties. Fortunately, Germany has now also caught the Beer Pong fever, and the community is steadily growing. Alcohol consumption is increasingly taking a back seat, while the actual game is the focus. If you want to be part of this hype, then check out our website and secure the coolest Beer Pong tables in Germany.
Before the coronavirus turned our lives upside down, the best players regularly met at the German or European championships, where the most talented players competed against each other.
Due to the lockdown, the Beer Pong Bundesliga unfortunately couldn't take place as usual. Therefore, a new version was launched: the online Beer Pong Bundesliga!
Want to learn more about the Bundesliga sport of Beer Pong and its origins? Then you've come to the right place. You'll get a good overview of the game organization, the participating teams, the results of the first season, and a preview of the upcoming second season. We hope you enjoy reading! 🙂
The history of its creation
Unfortunately, the lockdown prevented a single beer pong event from taking place. It's a real shame for all the beer pong fans out there.
But sometimes the best ideas arise from unfortunate situations. Forgoing beer pong completely? That's not an option!
Therefore, the Beer Pong Bundesliga was launched by Patrick Mitschke in the summer of 2020.
Thanks to online matches, teams can continue playing and stay in constant contact with each other. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, the Beer Pong Bundesliga has gained new attention and increased the teams' ambition! The 12 best teams from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland currently compete against each other in the Beer Pong Bundesliga.
How it works
There are 11 match days, each with six matches for each team. Teams consist of at least eight players. At the beginning of the season, a ranking of the best to worst Beer Pong players must be submitted.
A matchday always spans the following 14 calendar days. Matches can be played within this time. The matches don't all have to be played at the same time or on the same day. The important thing is that the results are entered immediately after the match ends. But who actually plays in this Bundesliga? In this blog post, we introduce you to the Beer Pong clubs in the Bundesliga.

We'll also be represented in the Bundesliga starting next season! In cooperation with the Mighty Ducks, we'll field a team in the first and second Bundesliga and look forward to spreading beer pong as a competitive sport!
Outlook for the second season
The new season is coming...and you can be there too! The Beer Pong Bundesliga has only one league this time. This is where the best players compete.
Starting next year, however, three to four leagues are planned, so that amateur teams also have a chance at a well-deserved victory. Mark December in red, because that's when the playoffs begin! So if you still want to compete as a team: Go for it!
Whether you're a bowling club, a high school team, a sports club, or a group of friends, with at least 8 people in your team you can participate in the playoffs!
