Whoever bluffs best wins!
Lügenmax or Mäxchen, Mäxle, Lügenmäxchen or Meiern is one of the most well-known Tink games and also super easy!
What you need to play
- At least 2 players
- Two dice
- A dice cup or something similar
- beer mats
- Alcoholic beverage
How to play
The youngest player goes first and rolls the dice. They look at the dice face down and then say what they rolled. They are allowed to lie. The next player now has two options:
- He believes his predecessor and keeps the dice face down. However, he must then throw a higher number. OR
- He does NOT believe his predecessor and raises the dice cup.
The larger of the two numbers always comes first, so 1 and 4 become 41. You can say your correct number or lie.
The next player now has two options:
Either he believes the previous player and rolls a higher number himself, or he doubts the statement.
In this case, the cup is turned over. If it was a lie, the person who rolled the dice must drink. If the number matches the statement on the dice, the second player must take two sips. The rolling of the dice continues.
The order of the "dice values" is as follows:
- The highest throw is a Mäxchen. These are the numbers 2 and 1. (If a Mäxchen is thrown, the cup must be revealed and all players drink.)
- Then all pairs follow. So, 6 and 6, then 5 and 5, and so on.
- Lastly, the remaining values come. The higher of the two numbers is always placed first. So, 5 and 6 become 65. The number 65 is the highest value until 31 is the lowest.
If a player rolls a 2 and a 1, it's a Mäxchen (a 'mexchen'). This means the cup must be revealed and all players drink.
