Weighing: Are you still weighing or are you already drinking?

Wiegen: Wiegst du noch oder trinkst du schon?

Effective drinking game

The game of Weighing is a super simple yet highly effective drinking game! Unlike other party games, the focus here is on precision and accuracy.

It's not necessarily about speed, but rather about drinking a given number of grams as accurately as possible. So, your dexterity will be tested here—sounds like an interesting challenge, right?

You will now find out exactly how the game works.

What you need to play

You don’t need much equipment for the drinking game:

  • At least 2 players: This drinking game works best in a larger group, as the competitive factor is particularly high and thus increases the fun factor.
  • Kitchen Scale: The digital kitchen scale acts as the heart of the game!
  • Alcoholic beverage: Beer is usually used for drinking, but you can also use other beverages.
  • Shots: For the losers 😉

Just the game instructions and then you can get started!

How to play

Now you can start playing. Here's how:

  1. Prepare the kitchen scale : Place the kitchen scale in the center of the table and make sure it is correctly adjusted.
  2. Weighing drinks : Each player places their drink on the scale and notes the weight in grams. This is the starting point for the game.
  3. Determine players : One player starts the game. This can be the youngest, the oldest, the soberest, or the drunkest player—depending on how you can agree.
  4. Announce the number of grams : The starting player announces the amount in milliliters that all players must drink. For example, it could be: "Everyone has to drink 60 ml."
  5. Measuring and Drinking : Now comes the exciting part. Players try to drink exactly the required milliliters without using a scale. This requires a lot of skill and precision, as it's incredibly easy to misjudge.
  6. Determine the difference : After all players have completed their task, the weight is re-weighed. The difference between the original weight and the current weight determines the winners and losers.
  7. Punishment for the losers : The person with the largest difference between the required amount and the amount actually drunk must drink a shot as punishment.

You can play until the mood improves or the other players get fed up.
