Strawberry Mojito 🍓
Not only delicious, but also visually stunning, it's an absolute eye-catcher! Perfect for using up fresh spring strawberries.
Ingredients
- 6-8 fresh mint leaves
- 3-4 ripe strawberries (plus one extra for garnish)
- 1/2 lime, cut into four pieces
- 2 teaspoons of sugar
- 60 ml rum
- ice cubes
- Water (approx. 100 ml)
preparation
- Place the mint leaves and lime segments into a glass. If you like, you can also halve some of the strawberries and add them to intensify the flavors.
- Sprinkle the sugar over the mint and limes. Use a muddler (or the back of a spoon) to gently squeeze the limes and muddle the mint. The goal is to extract the mint's essential oils and lime juice, not to turn the mint into a pulp.
- Cut the strawberries into small pieces and add them to the glass. Gently muddle them with the other ingredients to release the juice.
- Pour in the white rum.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes and pour the sparkling water over it. Stir gently to ensure the flavors blend well.
- Garnish the drink with a strawberry and a mint sprig. You can also add a thin slice of lime to the rim of the glass for an extra pop of color.
