The trip to Faro
The coronavirus pandemic has thrown a wrench into the works of travel enthusiasts throughout the past year. Summer vacations were canceled, road trips were canceled, and festivals were called off. So, no one looks back on 2020 with much pleasure. Fortunately, there's a light at the end of the tunnel! Europe is vaccinating as fast as it can, and more and more countries are reopening their borders to tourists, albeit with reservations. So, anyone who follows the entry regulations can enjoy the sun again.
Of course, the BeerBaller team didn't need to be told twice! So, the two bosses, Flo and Rico, decided to give their team a huge treat: an unforgettable trip to Faro – endless team building and content creation in one of Portugal's most beautiful regions.
The anticipation grew daily and soon there was only one topic in the office: PORTUGAL
After all the to-dos had been conscientiously completed, we could get started.
Day 1: Let's go, let's go!
Day 2: Beach, please!
The first day in Faro began with a group trip to the local supermarket. The staff were clearly overwhelmed by the group, as shopping for 14 people is a bit of a big undertaking. Equipped with the essentials (baguette, barbecue gear, and beer), we walked back to the house and sat down for a leisurely brunch.
While some relaxed and sipped their first beer, others jumped into the pool. At a pleasant 26 degrees Celsius, it was an absolute dream. However, the goal of the day was the beautiful sandy beach in Quarteira.
There, the entire team got sunburned while enjoying the sea breeze. In the evening, BeerBaller boss Flo enchanted the crowd with tapas, and the party atmosphere quickly crept in.
The party went on until the early hours, and the last men standing headed off to bed around 7 a.m.
Day 3: Work hard so you can play harder
Day 4: The BeerBaller Olympics
Our event planners, Arthur and Mary, had come up with some cool games. Funnily enough, every game involved a fair amount of beer. Luckily for the entire crew, it got pretty wild, and the odd minor injury was inevitable. Nevertheless, everyone fought to the bitter end.
The teams competed in the disciplines
Slip n Slide (Teams slide down the wet water slide and try to empty the beer cups as quickly as possible)
Speed Stacking (teams must correctly set up certain figures as quickly as possible and then ring the bell)
Shot Pong (our BeerBaller hit, teams compete to shoot and try to hit the ball into one of the shot cups with the small catapult)
Flunky Ball (Most of you probably know this game, but if not, read about it here )
Even though the slides didn't really work well in the end, everyone had a lot of fun and the atmosphere was great.
Day 5: Battle of the Giants - Beer Pong Tournament with Motto
The last full day of the team trip began quietly, as some group members were visibly worn out from the last few intense days. Therefore, they avoided daylight to prepare mentally and physically for the upcoming beer pong tournament. Teams of two were drawn beforehand for the internal beer pong tournament. To make it even cooler, each team came up with a theme and a matching costume. Everyone let their creativity run wild, creating truly unique looks that won't soon be forgotten.
And the winners of the tournament:

The tournament got off to a great start and ended after hours of concentrated play with the happy winning team.
The heroes of the evening were celebrated with an appropriate awards ceremony, and since many needed to catch up on some sleep after the previous week, the group disbanded a little earlier than usual.
However, this was a fitting end to a wonderful trip with the entire BeerBaller team.
Day 6: Departure, friends!
Around 6 p.m., the plane took off and safely transported the exhausted team to Frankfurt. There, everyone said their tearful goodbyes and then went their separate ways. Arthur went to Luxembourg, Jonny to Baden-Württemberg, Sophie and Carina took another flight to Munich, and the rest zipped off toward Darmstadt.
The time passed far too quickly, because the trip to Portugal was an absolute highlight, and we will all cherish it for a long time to come. And what about you? Are you also longing for such a unique team atmosphere? Then check out our
