How to properly adjust beer pong - here's how!

Richtig Umstellen bei Beer Pong - so geht’s!

Let's go!

It's probably happened to some of us before: The game is in full swing, and you have no idea when or how to rearrange the beer pong cups. Rearranging the cups is crucial, however, because otherwise, it will be very difficult for you and your opponents to hit the ball.

We have created a small guide here to give you a little insight into the conversion rules.

Depending on the rules, the cups are rearranged 1-3 times in Beer Pong. This process is called "reracking." However, players must ensure that the timing is right. The correct formation also plays a key role, as it can create strategic advantages.

But how do you decide which cup formation makes sense for you?

That really depends on what type of player you are.

We have created a short overview here to explain the best positions for different types of players.

Elongated formations

If accurately judging distances isn't your thing, you and your team should choose a more elongated formation. However, it's an advantage if your team is good at throwing straight balls.

If you tend to throw short balls, focus on the last cup. Otherwise, you might end up hitting a middle cup too early in the game and then only having the back ones standing later. Furthermore, the resulting gap can make the game significantly more difficult.

Wide formations

Wide formations are the exact opposite. They are suitable for players who are good at judging distances but have difficulty with straight shots. Hitting the middle cup early in this formation is less detrimental to the game. However, a very asymmetrical shape can result, making it difficult to hit the last cups.

Nearby formations

Close formations are also particularly popular. They're perfect for those who are good at casting at short distances. They're arranged in a tight pyramid shape.

Large-scale formations

Last but not least, there are also shapes with a large surface area. Here, the cups are arranged as rectangularly as possible.
If you're easily distracted or generally not the strongest thrower, this formation can increase your hit rate!

Well, have you figured out which formation will help you win the next round of Beer Pong?
If you're not sure what type of thrower you are, just try out the different formations! The best way to try it out is directly at our tables, which you can find here .
