Drinking games
It's time again for the coolest football drinking games, because the European Championship started last week!
A time when football fans, young and old, are rooting for their nation and a tremendous sense of togetherness is spreading. This is incredibly important, especially after the last 1.5 years, when many people have been trapped in the loneliness of lockdown.
That's why we think this European Championship should be enjoyed in a very special way. Although public viewing is not allowed at the 2021 European Championship, there are many great football
Drinking games to spice things up. Gather a few friends, chill the beer, and head to the TV.
Even though the German national team has to face tough opponents in the group stage, this doesn't have to spoil your fun.

Unity and justice and FOOTBALL DRINKING GAMES!
Number 1: Your player, your beer!
An absolute classic among football drinking games, perfect for the current tournament 🙂
Choose your favorite players and you're ready to go.
Number of players: 2-22
Procedure: You need as many pieces of paper as there are players. On each piece of paper, write a soccer player currently on the field. Each player draws one soccer player. You can also draw multiple soccer players per person, but you'll need to drink more.
From now on, everyone has to pay close attention to their assigned player.
It is drunk when…
The player on the ball is
The player in the picture is
The player is mentioned by name by the commentator
Funny additional rules:
If your player doesn't sing the anthem...cheers!
If your player gets a yellow card...cheers!
If your player gets a red card...in one go, please!
Does your player miss a penalty...in one go, please!
If a goal is scored, it means cheers for everyone with a player on the team!
If your player fouls an opponent...cheers!
If the player is substituted, simply take over the substituted player!
No drinking during halftime!
Edit: You can, of course, come up with more rules. But be warned, more rules also means more drinking 😉
Number 2: Bye-Bitch Bingo
As soon as a group gathers to watch football, the annoying comments are inevitable. We all know them, and as unnecessary as they are, sometimes they just slip out.
Ideal for the next football drinking game!
Players: at least 2
Procedure: You can easily print out our bingo board or have it open on your laptop. As soon as one of the phrases is said, everyone drinks. You can cross out the phrase when it's said, or you can let it continue. If you cross out the phrases, you'll be expelled as soon as all the phrases have been crossed out.
It is drunk when…
...someone shouts out one of the phrases during the game.
Number 3: Howdy, Cowboy!
We may be a long way from the Wild West in Germany, but this football drinking game is still a perennial favorite! So hop onto the imaginary bull and let the drinking game rodeo begin.
Players: at least 2
Procedure: You need a cowboy hat (or any other hat/cap) and place it in the top right corner of the TV. It's actually quite simple.
It is drunk when…
...a player is shown wearing a cowboy hat. Then everyone shouts "HOWDY, COWBOY!" and takes a sip of their drink.
Special rules:
Anyone who forgets to say “Howdy, Cowboy!” has to take a penalty drink
If the coach is shown with a hat, drink with the left hand
If the referee is shown with a hat, drink with the right hand
Number 4: Standard Situation Drinking
Number of players: at least 2
Procedure: It's best to print out the list below several times so everyone can refer to it again and again. In the situations described, everyone reaches for a glass.
It is drunk when…
...a goal is scored
...an own goal is scored
...a player falls dramatically and remains lying there
...a coach is shown shouting onto the field
...a player is upset about a referee's decision
...a corner is taken
...the referee whistles offside
...the commentator throws out an unimportant piece of information about the player
...a team is called by its nickname
...fans recognize themselves in the camera
...a fan made up in national colors is shown
...female football fans are shown
...a player spits/spits onto the field
...a player pulls up his shirt
...bored substitutes are shown on the bench
...a yellow or red card is given
...someone is fouled
...the fans sing loudly
...an angry fan is shown
...the commentator says that this is the umpteenth international goal by a player
...the commentator mentions the team's “star player”
...the goalkeeper is shown shouting something to his field players
