Beer Pong during Corona?!

Beer Pong während Corona?!

Party with your own family

Yes, yes, at first it sounds lame. But your parents were young and wild once, too, as they'll surely tell you often enough. Now they have the chance to prove it! (Of course, it should only be people from your household. Please leave Grandma and Grandpa out!) If you don't think your family members are the ideal opponents for beer pong, and your little brother always gets drunk too quickly, we have other alternatives for you.

1 against 1

All you need is one other player. Whether it's your partner, roommate, friend, or sister, you can safely play at home with another player. To keep your relationship interesting, why not surprise your partner with a beer pong date? This will help clarify the power dynamics within your relationship. But it can also be exciting with siblings. Why not play for the next dishwashing session? Maybe your little brother will be going off to university soon and needs proper preparation? Why not be gracious and share your experiences? If you don't have any siblings, you can also show your parents what you've learned during your studies. Speaking of learning: Staying at home is the perfect time to hone your trick shot skills! If you need some inspiration, check out our Instagram account or read our article about 5 extraordinary trick shots.

Social Distancing Beer Pong

Do you have friends you can't possibly do without for a month? Then you can play beer pong with them via video call! Maintaining social connections is important during the pandemic! Either 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2, where everyone takes a teammate. You each set up a table and each of you sets up 10 cups in a pyramid shape. Position your camera so that your opponents can see you and the table. Simply use the video call platform that works best for you. You take turns throwing the cups. You wait for your opponents' throws and watch. Once your opponent hits, they and you move the corresponding cup away from your tables! This way you can play together "as normal" and stay in touch! You can also participate in a social distancing tournament! You will need a teammate for this. Ideally, you would need someone from your household, a close friend, or your partner. Once your team is ready, you can register here. If you need some inspiration for your team name, we highly recommend our blog with the best team names. Familiarize yourself with the BeerBaller Beer Pong rules: To ensure fair play, everyone plays by the same rules. Next, you need to set up your tournament setup. When the time is right, set up your beer pong table. A regular table will work, too. It should be about 2.44 meters long and about 70 cm high. If your table is too short, you might want to add another one. You'll also need 20 cups of your choice (10 per side), two ping-pong balls, a laptop, cell phone, etc. for video transmission, and, most importantly, a stable internet connection!

Social Distancing Tournament Schedule

Now you should be well prepared. Fill the cups for the game. The opposing team is also set up! Before the game, position your laptop or phone so that both you and the entire table can be seen in the video call. Now check your internet connection one last time. Then it's time to warm up, take photos, and wait for the game to begin! To start the game, you have to call your opposing team via Zoom. Four preliminary rounds will decide who advances and who is eliminated. Then a winning team will be determined by single knockout. Don't forget to document your successes on Instagram and tag us! That way, nothing can go wrong at the next social distancing tournament. So grab your phones and tell your friends. Play a few rounds safely at home.

Beer Pong alone

If you live alone and are bored to tears, use the time to practice trick shots. If that doesn't help with the boredom, you can also play against yourself. Finally, a worthy opponent. Attach cups to your body and try to hit the cups by bouncing against a wall (like the bathroom mirror). Do you have other ideas for playing beer pong during quarantine? Let us know in the comments!
